Leverkusen, Germany - Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart played to a 2-2 draw in the German Bundesliga on Saturday. Robert Andrich scored for Leverkusen in the first half, while Serhou Guirassy equalized for Stuttgart in the second half. Nadiem Amiri gave Leverkusen the lead again in the 70th minute, but Tiago Tomas scored a late equalizer for Stuttgart to earn a point for the visitors.
Leverkusen started the match brightly and took the lead in the 20th minute when Andrich fired a left-footed shot into the top corner of the net from the edge of the box. Stuttgart equalized in the 55th minute when Guirassy headed home a cross from the left flank.
Leverkusen regained the lead in the 70th minute when Amiri converted a penalty after he was fouled in the box by Stuttgart goalkeeper Florian Muller. However, Stuttgart refused to give up and equalized again in the 85th minute when Tomas scored from close range after a scramble in the Leverkusen box.
The draw leaves Leverkusen in fourth place in the Bundesliga table, while Stuttgart remains in 16th place.
