The Biden Administration announced that it has approved nearly $138 billion in debt cancellation for 39 million hard-working Americans. This includes the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program, which forgives the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments for public service workers.
Income-Driven Repayment Plans
The Administration is also urging borrowers to apply for income-driven repayment plans, which can reduce monthly payments based on income and family size. Borrowers can apply at StudentAid.gov.
