Boston Red Sox Unveil New City Connect Jerseys
Unique Design Honors Boston Marathon and City's Legacy
617 Patch and Yellow-Blue Color Scheme Pay Homage to Tradition
The Boston Red Sox have unveiled their latest City Connect jerseys, paying homage to the city's rich running tradition and iconic Boston Marathon.
The jerseys feature a striking yellow and blue color scheme, reminiscent of the marathon's official colors. On the left sleeve, a prominent patch resembles a marathon bib, emblazoned with the number "617," the area code for Boston and Fenway Park.
The design incorporates subtle tributes to the city's running community. The jersey's material mimics the texture of marathon bibs, while the "marathon bib" patch adds an authentic touch. The font used for the "Boston" lettering on the jersey is inspired by classic running jerseys.
The Red Sox will debut their City Connect jerseys on August 16, coinciding with the 125th running of the Boston Marathon. The jerseys aim to celebrate the city's enduring spirit and the shared passion for running and baseball in Boston.
